Evershot

A small village in Dorset

Village events

2013

A warm welcome awaits you at the Evershot Country Fair, 2013

In West Dorset's second highest village, surrounded by the beautiful countryside of the Melbury Estate and deer park, you will find a friendly village fair taking place on Sunday 23 June from midday. There will be traditional rural crafts, delicious locally produced food, a range of interesting stands and plenty to entertain.

You can watch crafts people at work: talk to a thatcher, beekeeper, blacksmith, stonemason, gamekeeper and taxidermist. For children there will be a bouncy castle, games and ringside displays. Take a trailer ride through the deer park. Enjoy a hog roast, BBQ or ploughman's lunch, whilst dancers perform. You might listen to the band with a pint of local ale or cider. There will be plenty of tea and cakes, soft drinks and ice cream.

Come and join us at this popular rural event; it promises to be a great day out for the family. Free entrance for children, £2 adults, free parking.
