There are at the moment six organisations in Evershot that have their own websites.
The Acorn is the Evershot local, as well as being a restaurant and hotel. You can reach its site by clicking here.
The Evershot Village Bakery has been baking traditional bread for the village and the rest of Dorset for well over a century. But they are also up-to-date enough to have their own website here.
Band On There is now a brand new website for the Band On info. All the village hall dates, all the bands, all the background.
Lesley Waters, the well known chef, now lives in the village and has started running courses. Her website is here. (Lesley and Tim have now left the village, but are still in the area, and Lesley's courses are still running.)
Stickland's School is the Evershot primary school. Its site is here.
Little Acorns Playgroup now has its own website here.
Summer Lodge is an Evershot hotel. Click here to see what it offers.
West Dorset District Council and Dorset County Council have now combined to launch an excellent website with information on every conceivable aspect of life in the county. If you are interested in geology, sites of special scientific interest, farming, or literary figures such as Thomas Hardy, then this is the place to start. Just click here. This site includes the Dorset History Centre, the place to go if you're researching your ancestors: click here. It also has all the latest bus timetables here.
Another good website is the one run by the Dorset Environmental Records Centre. Here you can find details of rare plants and animals to be found in Dorset and where to see them. But not all the places are precisely identified, to protect the rarest and most endangered items.
A good place to visit is the BBC's Dorset site here. There's all the local news and weather and much more besides.
And finally two local newspapers will keep you up to date with all the latest from the region: the weekly Western Gazette is here and the daily Dorset Echo here.
